Hello there! I’m Malaert64, but you can also call me Damian, or J. I’m the creator of this site and all the content you’ll find here.
Hailing from the west coast of Canada, I’m an avid writer, pixel artist, gamer, educator, and curator of aging technology. I’m also a big fan of 1970s, 80s, and 90s rock music, and VGM from all eras of gaming.
Tired of the state of the rest of the internet, I created Cyberspace Café in the summer of 2024 as a platform for me to share content I create. This includes blog posts about a variety of topics, usually pertaining to some aspect of retro technology, and my pixel art. That’s all there is to it, really. I do continue to post things on other parts of the internet as well – my public social media accounts are linked in the Socials box above.

As such, you may not use anything on this website without giving proper credit, and you may not, under any circumstances, modify my work or feed it into AI databases. As an aside, if you are referencing anything I have made in a bibliography / reference list, it’s best to use “Malaert64” as the credited author.
